If you’ve ever pulled out of the driveway and immediately thought “did I…” — yeah. We built Hitchlist for that.

Why Hitchlist is different

A list that knows your rig.

01

Rig-aware checklists

Tell us what you tow or drive. We show only what matters. A fifth-wheel owner never sees “hook up weight distribution.”

02

Per-person packing

Add the adults, kids, and pets coming along. Hitchlist remembers prescriptions, glasses, comfort items, pet food, vet contacts — and tailors the list every trip.

03

Real-time co-checking

Your spouse or co-pilot can check items off from their phone. You see it instantly. No more “I thought you packed it.”

04

Gentle reminders, never nagging

The night before, Hitchlist names exactly what’s still unchecked. Want to skip an item? One tap. No guilt.

05

Departure walkaround

The morning you roll out, Hitchlist runs through the final five — slides in, awning in, hookups disconnected. The stuff that ruins a trip if you forget.

06

Built for the campground

Maintenance log, document vault, trip journal with one-tap social sharing, and full offline mode for when you’re boondocking off-grid.

How it works

Two reminders. Zero nagging.

  1. 1

Set up your rig and your crew

Pick your rig type. Add the people and pets coming along — including their prescriptions, comfort items, and gear. Hitchlist remembers them for every trip.

  2. 2

    Plan the trip

Where are you headed? Boondocking or full hookup? Hiking, fishing, or just kicking back? Hitchlist tailors your list to the destination and the trip — automatically.

  3. 3

Check things off — or skip them

Every item has two boxes: Done or Skip this trip. The skipped items disappear from reminders. No guilt.

  4. 4

    Roll out with confidence

Night-before reminder names what’s still unchecked. Morning-of walkaround alarm hits the critical five. Then the road is yours.

About

Built by an RVer who’s done it wrong.

Hi — I’m Randall, a Washington State RVer who decided to build the trip-prep app I wish I had.

A few years and a lot of trips in, I’ve still had moments that humble me. Like the time I forgot to switch the fridge from DC to AC two days before a trip — woke up to a dead battery bank and a delayed departure. Or the time I pulled into a campsite, started unhooking the trailer, and realized my safety chains had never been hooked up in the first place. I’d driven the whole way without them.

Nobody was hurt. But the cold sweat? I’ll remember it forever.

Every checklist app I tried treated me like I drove a Class A and went full-hookup every weekend. None of them knew what a pop-up owner actually needs, or what changes when you’re boondocking versus pulling into a KOA. None of them caught the stuff that actually matters.

So I’m building it. Hitchlist is rig-aware, crew-aware, and trip-aware — the list adjusts to your setup, not the other way around. It nudges you the night before with the exact items you haven’t checked. It catches your slides, your awning, and yes — your safety chains — before you roll out.

If you’ve ever pulled out of the driveway with that “did I…” feeling — Hitchlist is for you. And for me. Mostly for me, honestly. But also for you.

— Randall
